Message SO, let's assume you are right. There absolutely IS a safe and proper way to cut springs in order to "be low" on a budget. We did the "research" clicked on every link that turned up in google (my, how the term "Research" has fallen), and it is beyond debate, you are right. It can be done.

So why hasn't anyone started up a business cutting up springs (oem or aftermarket) to sell to kids on a budget who want to "be low"??

If it is totally safe and will not raise any negative issues if done "properly" as you claim...then why isn't anyone in this country of 330million people cashing in on it? Especially in the sportscar aftermarket where cutting corners, cheap knockoffs, and where marketing the lowest minimum quality to budget minded dumbasses pays off big, why hasn't anyone done it??.....I mean there is ZERO liability right? What is there to be liable for?

Go ahead, cut your springs. You deserve whatever happens.
